Delivering TS EN ISO build quality under a fixed-price contract amid volatile steel prices.
Under a fixed-price contract it was necessary to deliver the industrial building on time and within budget while meeting TS EN ISO construction standards. Steel price volatility during this period made supply chain management a critical variable.
Our Solutions
A BIM-based cost model enabled proactive budget monitoring throughout design. Steel procurement was placed as a bulk order at a price trough; parallel scheduling of prefabricated panel cladding and floor works saved three weeks on programme. The building was ready for permit inspection ahead of the target date.
