Project Challenges
Delivering a wide-span factory building fully compliant with TBEC-2018 without disrupting active production.
Constructing the new building while the facility operated at full capacity, designing wide-span industrial volumes fully compliant with the Turkish Building Earthquake Code 2018, and integrating the steel construction system with the existing infrastructure were the primary technical challenges.
Our Solutions
A prefabricated steel portal frame system was adopted to ensure fast assembly and a clean site. Column-free spans reaching 50 metres were achieved through engineered portal frames. A phased construction programme kept production running continuously; handover was completed three weeks ahead of schedule.
